Triangle Square Logo & Rebrand

The Triangle Square shopping & entertainment center in Costa Mesa required a rebrand under new ownership. We decided to keep the name “Triangle Square” since its longstanding presence in Costa Mesa made it a recognizable location, and we wanted to maintain the equity of the brand.

During the brand exploration phase, we saw the name Triangle Square as visually representative of “play” (triangle turned on its side) and “stop” (square as a stop button). Triangle Square would be a place where you could play (there was a bowling alley, a bar, restaurants, and movie theater) or stop (they had plans to add a yoga studio, co-working space, with a community area where visitors could lounge). Our logos further explored this theme, and we ultimately arrived at a fluid logo system, with eight different logo variations and color combinations, representing the variety of offerings at Triangle Square.

Phase I of the rebrand includes logo and brand materials (brand guide, stationery set, eblast templates, social media templates, event flyers).

Phase II, which includes environmental graphics, has not been implemented yet.
